O Come O Come Emmanuel

Are we already half way through December of 2015? How is that possible? So much I feel has happened in the past two months that I don’t even know how to share it. One thing I noticed though is this:

I need to trust God more.

As all these changes are happening not only with my family life, but also in my work life, I see myself getting caught up in worldly things. This Christmas season has been a great reminder to praise Him for being the one Savior of the world and for being the one who changes everything. He is in control of all the changes that happen in the moment, and He is the one who deserves all the glory.

Attached is a song my ukulele teacher recorded of me singing O Come O Come Emmanuel. I had just learned it the day it was recorded so it is a little rocky. Since it is rocky, I think it’s a humbling reminder of the Emmanuel, and how none of the musical mistakes I make matter in the end (when you compare it to what the song is saying!). May the Emmanuel come soon. O Come, O Come, Emmanuel.

Matthew 1:23, “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us).”
